My sister-in-law admired them and I said I would make her some as a present. I bought the components relatively soon after that. They then sat in my jewellery findings tin for several months. Because I was going to York for my mother's 65th birthday this weekend I decided that now was the time to complete those cute little earrings. I added an extra bead to these earrings to give them a little more length and to make them different from mine.
I'm really pleased with the way they turned out and Emma obviously was because she wore them out for my Mum's birthday dinner. It was nice sitting round the table while my brother wore the cardigan I had made, Emma was wearing the earrings I had made and my Mum wore the brooch I had bought her for Christmas 2008. It felt good to know that I chose well with my gifts.
