Baby Bootees

It seems, that at the moment, I know at least 4 pregnant women and 2 who have recently given birth. I think it is my age, I am in my mid-thirties and all my career minded girl-type friends are suddenly realising that now is the right time for them to be thinking about having babies. As a result I seem to be churning out quite a lot of baby knits at the moment. Here is my current offering:



These are for the nice lady who runs my Pelvic Pain Support Group. Her last session with us is tomorrow, so I thought I'd give her a little something to say thanks for the support. She has always shown interest in my knitting, so I felt it was especially pertinent. She and her husband have decided to be surprised by the gender of their offspring, so I decided that green was a nice neutral colour. I hope she likes the bootees, they were from Zoe Mellor's book 50 Baby Bootees to Knit, which was leant to me by the lovely Angela from my Border's knitting group.

I am sure that the book will get called on again over the following months as more babies are brought into the world.
